Veterans of Valor Banquet

First Baptist Fannin will honor the men and women who have served our country during the Veterans of Valor Awards Banquet on Saturday, September 26, from 6 to 9 p.m.

The evening is an opportunity for the community to come together and show its appreciation for local veterans. A limited number of guest tickets are available for $10 per plate, and advance reservations are requested to help organizers plan seating and meals.

Volunteers are also needed to help make the evening possible, with opportunities to assist with setup, serving the meal and cleanup. Registration for both volunteers and banquet guests is available online. Seating and meals are limited, and registration will close one week before the event or earlier if capacity is reached.

The celebration actually begins a day earlier. On Friday, September 25, at 6 a.m., the community is invited to gather at Tommy’s Trading Post to cheer on veterans participating in a fishing tournament. Organizers encourage those attending the send-off to bring American flags and help give the veterans a memorable start to their day.
