The Wonder of Christmas

The Wonder of Christmas takes place December 5 and 6 at First Baptist Fannin, right along Fannin Landing Circle. The event runs from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, with doors opening at 5:30.

The church’s adult choir, band, children’s choir, student soloists, and drama team will handle the Christmas story with music and drama. If you walk by in the evening, expect more cars in the lot and a steady stream heading inside. No tickets are needed, so expect a mix of folks from nearby neighborhoods and regulars.

If you plan to attend, the church sits near the corner by the fire station, so watch for extra foot traffic crossing Fannin Landing. The event focuses on the nativity and the traditional story, so the crowd usually skews toward families and those looking for a classic Christmas atmosphere.

Parking fills up quickly on these nights. The lot wraps around the north side, but some cars usually spill out onto the grass by the west entrance. If you live nearby, walking is the better option to avoid the jam.
