At approximately 2:40 p.m., emergency services received a report of a townhouse fire at 1014 Windrose Drive in the Lake Shore Oaks community, located near the reservoir. A neighbor who was outside at the time reported hearing the sound of wood breaking, then saw smoke coming from the affected residence.
Reservoir Fire Department, Reservoir Police, and the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. Firefighters contained and extinguished the fire shortly after arrival. No injuries have been reported.
Officials are currently investigating the cause of the fire. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
