Reservoir police found a male dog on Spillway Road close to the Turtle Creek Nature Trail Sunday afternoon. The dog is safe and in the care of local authorities.
Anyone who believes this may be their dog should contact the Rankin County Animal Shelter at 601-824-2024. The shelter is handling all reunification efforts.
If you live within a few miles of the reservoir and have lost a dog, check with the shelter. Keep pets secure to avoid similar incidents. Updates will follow if the dog is returned to its owner.
